08 Aug Encouraging Creativity While Protecting the Earth
- Housewves community in Tebet Barat, Jakarta attended workshop about how to reuse plastic bag in Akasia Community Park held by Yasunliplast on Friday, August 2, 2019.
- The workshop was a concrete commitment of Yasunliplast CSR to participate in protecting the environment.
Last Friday, August 2, 2019, Yasunliplast together with management of Akasia Community Park invitedhousewives community for environment-friendly workshop. During the workshop, Yasunliplastencouraged the ladies to be more conscious when using plastic bags. One of the solution is to reuse the plastic bags. The workshop was hosted by Yasunliplast team, sharing knowledge on how to transform plastic bags into multipurpose pouch. Therefore, plastic bag can have a new life to become a pretty and handy product. The process was relatively simple and using tools around the house.
“Protecting the earth must start from our home. Mothers who lead the house daily operational should have knowledge on how to minimize the impact of waste towards environment. To reuse is one of the solution to reduce the impact. Furthermore, it could also stimulate creativity,” told Jouw Erwin, Executive Director of Yasunliplast.Yasunliplast also donates some tumblers and multipurpose lockers for Akasia Community Park.
The CSR activity this time carried environment-friendly topic, began with workshop with housewives community, followed by handover of tumblers and lockers donation, as well as environment poster for community empowerment in Akasia park. Yasunliplast also created a mural painting on the futsal field park in order to support the coming events to celebrate Independence Day. The Akasia Park management as current event partner, hopes similar activities to comebecause it is useful and in line with the community empowerment program.
